About Luigi
Greetings to all those who have the patience & kindness to welcome a timid gentle soul into your home.
Hi, my name is Luigi, and I am an amazing & sweet young man searching for that special someone to walk into my life. Someone I will learn to trust and let my sweet side shine like a twinkling star even on the darkest of nights.
Once comfortable with you, I will be waiting patiently at the door to welcome you home with an ever so gentle meow. My delightfully charming but sometimes firm facial expressions will melt your heart a little more each day and make you laugh...
My foster mum is so proud of how far I have come, I have learnt to absolutely love pats and human company and will even purr and drool while i get loving pats.
I now love cuddles, tummy rubs and cuddling up on the end of the bed!
I am so looking forward to starting a new chapter in the arms and home of a family who has the patience and kindness to allow me grow into the most adorable & loving young man.
Full disclosure, I was born with a little defect which has left me with a weepy eye. All it needs is a gentle wipe and all is good. Please, don't let this little defect from adopting me.
UPDATE:
Hi there, my name is Luigi.
And yes, my personality is very similar to my sister Lucy, only difference being I hid in a kennel.
Today, I am a very different lad. I am now very comfortable in my carers home which I share with many cats, an old Marema who's not afraid to pull me into line and a border collie.
I sleep in some very awkward positions. I like my meals at set times, and you will know when those times are as I am very vocal in reminding you.
I love being shown affection. Whether it be pats, chinny rubs, belly rubs, or snuggling up on the bed/couch. I have learned to love & even crave the daily spoiling from my carer & her grandson of 11years. I am lucky because I also have access to a large outdoor enclosure, & there is nothing like a little fresh air & sunshine.
My perfect family will be on the quieter side with gentle older children who will spoil me with affection and food. I don’t mind if you have cats & dogs as I will enjoy their company.
Are you my perfect family? I sure hope so!!
Take a Second Chance on me!
Medical notes
Luigi has a birth defect which causes him to have a weeping eye.

Adoption details
MEET & GREET
We encourage all adopters to meet their new addition before committing to adoption. This gives you a chance to see if the animal might be a good fit, and if a dog, to also introduce them to your other animals. Just like we don't expect all humans to get along, we expect the same for animals.
ADOPTION AGREEMENT
At CQASI our animals future is paramount and we want to see them put into their forever homes. Every detail on our agreement is used to ensure your home is suitable for a new addition, that you agree to the terms and conditions and we also use some of the info for owner transfer after the adoption trial period (mentioned further down)
HOME/YARD CHECK
All our cats are indoor/outdoor enclosure only so all house checks are done when your feline friend is being dropped off to join your household. If the barking variety is what you are looking at adding to your home then one of our volunteers will contact you to arrange a day/time for a yard check. This is to check your fencing is suitable, see where your new canine will be sleeping and just get a general feel for the home they will be going to. All our adoptions tend to be local, but we have connections all over QLD so are more than happy to consider all serious adoption enquiries. A house/yard check will be done if we can get a local member (if adoption enquiry is not Rockhampton based) to assist.
ADOPTION FEE
Adoption fee is to be paid prior to collecting your new family member. The adoption fee is used to cover the vet work your new addition received. This includes - but is not limited to Desexing, vaccination/s, microchipping, parasite treatment/prevention (heart worm testing for dogs only).
TWO WEEK TRIAL
All our animals have a two week trial period. This gives your new addition time to settle into your family life and to give you a chance to ensure they are exactly what you want. If they are not settling in then we will arrange to take them back into care and you will be refunded the adoption fee. If after the two weeks they are exactly what you wanted then we will send you all their paperwork including sterilisation certificate, vaccination certificate and microchip transfer form.
Our aim is a beautiful goodbye into their new home. We treat any potential adoption with the upmost care as the animals safety and welfare is our number one concern.
