About Smokey
Smokey came to into our care as the lady who found him could no longer keep him with her elderly cat as he had too much kitten energy!
He is now looking for his furrever home. This little guy is a ball of energy, and has a beautiful friendly nature.
He is dog friendly, and currently is in foster care with Mr. Biggles who is a big beautiful boy, and very playful and friendly towards him. He is also in foster care with 2 other cats who are older then Smokey.
He would also benefit from having an easy going/playful cat friend, or lots of play time with his humans, kids included, as he is currently still young, and will take time to grow out of this. He is litter trained, and is currently eating kitten food.
He loves a cuddle, and can easily be picked up. He has a beautiful calm nature towards all the nurses and his foster carer.
We would not recommend him to go into a home with an elderly cat over 12 years old has he loves playing at the moment, and we understand our older kitty folk love to sleep and relax.
If you have a dog, we would recommend them to meet just to ensure compatibility. We have no doubt he would get along with most easy going pooches, and/or kitty cat friends.
Adoption details
Please direct messages to Rosie and Catherine, our kitten adoption officers. Please provide as much details about your home and family as possible. We are a very busy vet hospital, so we prefer no phone calls :) Thank you.
IMPORTANT: All cats and kittens adopted out from Drummoyne Veterinary Hospital MUST go to either an indoor-only home, or a home with a suitable cat-proof outdoor area or enclosure. Our mission is to make Sydney a better place for cats, their families and our precious wildlife. That means responsible re-homing. We want our cats and kittens to go to the safest, most loving of homes. We don't want them exposed to risks such as getting hit by a car, dog attacks, cruelty from people, injury or death from cat fights or dog attacks, or contracting infectious disease. We want them to live a long, happy and healthy life with their families; safe from harm :)
Please note we do not hold kittens - it's a first in, first served basis once we have reviewed your application and invited you to meet the kitten.
