Hi there, my name is Winston and I'm a Jungle Python. My photos show me currently in early shed, so my colours won't be as nice as usual!

You would usually see my species in far North Queensland, cruising through the branches in stunning rainforest scenery. We love slithering along waterways and creeks, seeing where our next meal will come from! Our striking colours help us blend into the lush foliage.

I enjoy adventuring through my enclosure filled with plants, stopping along the way to soak up the UV rays. Before coming to RSPCA, I was a very spoilt snake, so my rotund appearance can sometimes make it harder for me to climb effectively.

I handle well and don't have the usual sassy attitude attributed to Jungle Pythons! But due to my size, I need an experienced owner to provide me with all the handling and care I'll require for a reptile of my size.

I eat well and get exercise time outside which I enjoy a lot! I need an enclosure with strong, low branches so I can climb up and bask under my UV light amongst the foliage. Like every other reptile, I need a heat lamp, hide and very large enclosure that I can stretch out comfortably.
