About Maya
Hi I’m Maya,My siblings and I came into care under BVAR’s Last litter program. Meaning our mum gets desexed at no cost to her owners and ending the cycle of unnecessary litters.
I’m a good girl, but very much an active pup who would benefit from daily exercise and stimulation. I have started learning how to walk on a loose leash it’s been a tough thing to learn but also something I may need consistent practice with.
I’m living with another dog currently who is quite active and keeps me well occupied. I would do perfectly fine on my own and provided I have adequate socialisation opportunities with other dogs.
I have never been around cats. Its noted I do have a high chase drive so unsure how I’d react as if they run I would chase them. I’m unsuitable with poultry or horses as I tend to harass and chase them.
I haven’t spent much time around kids. I can sometimes still jump up when excited and definitely push the boundaries with adults so I’m probably better suited to older kids who aren’t as easily knocked over.
I can sit and I’m learning to wait but please note I will try and push the boundaries if I can get away with it so I will need good firm guidance and direction to ensure my training is consistent.
I sleep in the garage at night and stay there all night with no issues.
I do have the slightest bit of food possession, so will need to be fed separately from any other dogs or animals in the home.
