Meet the stunning Miss Dior
This beautiful young lady is a Weimaraner x we think Kelpie blend weighing in at only 22 kilos so a smaller med size girl.
Dior is very affectionate, and absolutely loves belly rubs, rolling onto her back any chance she gets. Dior is of fairly high energy and really enjoys a daily walk to explore and stretch her legs. She adores humans and would be happily glued to her people at any chance.Dior is a wonderful girl and would make a lovely family addition to those seeking a great loving and affectionate companion
Dior is a country girl at heart and has moved to the big smoke so the suburban life is a big change for her. New sights and sounds can be still a bit overwhelming for her but each day the new experiences become that little less startling for her as she becomes desensitized to her new world.
Favorite things:
Miss Dior definitely loves her hoomans and they would be at the top of this list
Whether you are watching the AFL or a romantic chick flick she's right there with you snuggled up enjoying whatever you are tuned into
She really enjoys her family walk and we recommend she is taken daily
Interaction with humans:
Dior is very friendly towards new people,and can be a little cautious for a few moments taking some time to warm up to them before she is completely comfortable
She can forget her manners and jump up for a cuddle wrapping her paws around you for a hug which although cute is not something we are encouraging.
In her previous home she was living with children and from all accounts she was very loving and adoring to them
Obedience/Training:
Dior can sit and shake, and is learning to stay. Her recall is improving. She is learning to wait to be invited inside/outside and not rush at the door, she is also still learning to be patient at meal times as her food enthusiasm can cause her to jump around excitedly but shes getting a whole heap better at being patient Dior does not show any interest in playing with toys or chasing a ball at this stage Dior travels well in the car, mostly enjoying the view.
Diors lead walking has improved with structure and guidance. She walks best on a short lead and will correct back very easily when getting too far ahead.
Animal Social Skills:
Dior is initially shy and reserved around other dogs until she gets to know them. Once she warms up she is very playful with other dogs and well mannered . Dior is also unbothered by birds and prefers to watch them rather than chase or bark at them. We have not tested her with cats
Independence:
Miss Dior really enjoys sunbaking in the rays when her hoomans are not home. She Can be left at home for periods of time without issues but if left for extended hours will get a little bored and make her own entertainment with her bed lol
Dior would really prefer her family to be around more often than not
Sleeping:
Dior has been sleeping inside, in a covered crate at night, however, she would definitely love sleeping in your bedroom/on your bed or in bed with you.
Exercise:
Being a young girl with working bloodlines Miss Dior will require a good walk daily to keep her well exercised and maintain her overall health We are definitely seeking an active family or couple to adopt her and keep her grounded and stimulated
Inside the home:
Dior is fully toilet trained
She certainly will make herself at home and blend into the family daily routine very easily
When excited ( when you first get home) a few zoomines around the house is not at all unusual for her lol
Ideal Home:
Dior’s ideal family will give her the love and attention she craves. A family who can keep Dior stimulated during the day, exercise her daily and give her lots and lots of pats and belly rubs. Dior’s ideal family will need to be able to commit her ongoing training
We feel Dior would thrive in a home with a gentle loving and playful male dog who is well socialized with others and not rough in play
Children in the home are great but we seek dog experience, savvy and confident kids who love to play with dogs please . Seeking kids over the age of 5
If you work long hours and dont have much spare time please dont apply as Dior is a working breed and cant be left all day without things to do or she will get bored
A home with a medium to large backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing is a non negotiable
