About Buster
Please only apply for this greyhound if you have:
- Buster would suit being a solo dog or with a greyhound companion
- Children over the age of 14
Buster is a delightful 4 year old black male! He is a real smoocher and he loves human attention/affection. He is always keen for pats, snuggles and a good head rub and is one heck of a happy fella.
Buster has transitioned readily to home life. He is great at letting you know if he needs to go out to the toilet. He absolutely loves his food and his bed. Buster manages steps well and is also great in the car, but may require a ‘boost up’ into an SUV at times.
Buster loves his walks. When time permits he has been enjoying early morning and afternoon walks. He is great on the lead and responsive to redirecting and a gentle hand if needed. He is still becoming accustomed to seeing other breeds on his walks and is usually curious but also wary. He is also still adjusting to town-life walking and its many distractions, sights and sounds.
Buster loves his doggy housemates. He loves to do zoomies and have a mad dash around the backyard with his buddies! He is so playful; loves to play fetch and he loves his fluffy toys. After exerting all his energy it is back to bed for this boy!
Buster can be startled by loud or unfamiliar noises or objects accidentally brushing or touching him however a little reassurance and he is back on track. Buster is also cautious and curious when meeting new people. Once he gets over this initial wariness he becomes your best buddy.
Buster would be suited to a home where he was either the only dog, or one with another greyhound. Apart from his walks and zoomies he is content to sleep most of the day. He can manage well on his own alone for several hours as long as he gets plenty of pats when his humans return. Probably best suited to a more mature household therefore we think he will suit a home with children over the age of 14.
Buster is a happy, clever, loyal and loving fella, his playful personality and cheeky nature make him irresistible.
[Note: Under Victorian Law greyhounds must be on-leash at all times in public areas, including in off-leash parks or ovals]
