About Piper
A whole year in care...
Introducing Piper.
Now, I write a lot of adoption profiles, for all sorts of animals with all kinds of personalities.
Some have special traits or medical issues that mean they need a hard sell to get the interest they deserve.
But, how to write a profile for a cat that you don't like??!!
Sorry Piper - I know someone out there will love you and in the past 12 months I guess you have grown on me... but still, you're far from my favourite 😂
Piper first came into care on the 21st of March, 2022. She had her tiny kittens with her then, though they're all fully grown cats now!
We don't know Piper's background, she was left at a lady's doorstep and gave birth just a few days later.
Piper is a strong-willed woman, full of sass and personality.
She likes to roll around on her back, especially in patches of sun, and pretend that someday she might let you rub her belly. Don't be fooled, she won't. That's a private belly!
In fact, even after all this time Piper doesn't want to be touched at all, anywhere.
She isn't aggressive or angry about it, she just ducks and weaves to get away and then stares at you with a look that would drop you in your tracks; do NOT touch me! 😤
Piper will be a great barn buddy/shed cat/farm cat or can be just as happy as an indoor cat with someone who wants the presence of a cat but values their personal space.
She's neat and tidy and litter trained.
She loves to play, has a very kitten-ish nature and will pounce on anything, hopefully a trait that will translate to catching rodents!
Piper doesn't like other cats and gets cranky at those who get too close. If you happen to have a large property and have other cats, she will be fine to establish a routine around other cats and just do her thing.
But she definitely doesn't want to make friends.
Piper also has a sensitive stomach. For MONTHS we tried to get her food just right as she not only had explosive diarrhoea but was scrawny and sad with a dull coat that she often pulled out.
She's pretty easy to feed really - at the moment each day she just gets a raw chicken neck, chicken liver and a little bit of mince and that's her set. She's quite plump but needs only a little food to maintain her condition.
Biscuits are her enemy!
Piper is not an 'easy' cat and hey, that's why she's been waiting a year for a home
But we really believe there's someone out there c as you can to achieve maximum reach 😊 it u
You know what to do, message the page or sernd an email é we're
