Say hello to the sweetest little, very gentle and calm baby boy, the adorable Maka.
This little man has an amazing temperament and even though he does pull faces he loves a good raspberry blow on his chubby little tummy.. Well I love doing it lol he just puts up with it lololol
Make is a staffy x we believe bulldog mix based on his colors and head shape,,, He's just sooooo cute
His vet appointment had him weigh in at 6.4 kilos so based on this we feel he will be a med to large at full growth
I cannot say enough about this beautiful loving little boy! Maka is an absolute pleasure! He is a placid and well behaved puppy who loves to play with his big Red Heeler foster brother or is happy enough to amuse himself with his toys. He likes his toys, loves being outside to explore and the company of his humans. He is cuddly and loving and melts your heart with his loving puppy eyes. He adapts extremely well to routine. This little guy will make you laugh everyday!
OBEDIENCE
Maka will come running when you call “here puppy, puppy, puppy”. He is learning to sit and has taken note of his foster brother’s toileting and as long as the door is open to go outside, he will go out on the fake lawn, meaning a nice clean house. Although he likes to hide shoes in his crate, he has not been destructive. On the odd occasion he has gone to pick up a pebble or foreign object and with a quick “no”, he soon moves away.
DOG SOCIALIZATION
Maka has been introduced to an adult mastiff, an adult Labrador, and a kitten. He is very quiet around them and wants to play. He does not have any fear thus far, however, a sudden loud bark gives him a fright, just as a new born baby would do the same. He absolutely loves people and cuddles and is very gentle with all adults and children and dogs. A family with children and a small to medium dog with equal gentle qualities would be fine.
WALKS – LEAD EXPERIENCE
Maka does not seem to be afraid of a lead and certainly does not mind his collar. He has not had walking experience as yet due to not yet being fully vaccinated, however, he seems to adapt quite well to anything new presented to him. has had some short stints on a lead and does not seem to mind a collar. He will require puppy school and feel he will excel in his class!
ENRICHMENT
Maka absolutely loves to play and run. He also loves his space to entertain himself with his toys and explore outside. He will then take himself off to bed in his crate for a nap. He will then repeat his activities and then repeat the cycle of a nap after. He loves to be outside with his foster brother or inside with his human/s.
VISITORS
Maka enjoys cuddles from visitors and they will instantly fall in love with him! He loves the attention looking up at everyone adoringly with those beautiful puppy eyes.
INSIDE
Maka had had the freedom of a large living area as well as being out on an undercover built in veranda. He likes to go in and out via an open sliding door which allows him to toilet outside Which is great! He has not yet been tried with a puppy door. He has not touched the furniture which has been a blessing! What a good puppy! He likes to get up at around 7am and as well as his daytime play and in between naps, he settles himself in his crate around 8pm onwards until it’s time for bed. He has been sleeping on a bed with his foster mummy and foster brother and sleeps right through the night. Having said this, he is comfortable enough now in his crate that he should be able to settle in it all through the night with some patience from his new family. He has not been destructive with his toys, even when left for a few hours or half a day on his playpen/crate. What a good boy!!!
TRAVELING IN THE CAR
Maka is excellent in the car! He sleeps in a warm and secure puppy carry case without any trouble. He has been on a few trips now.
IDEAL HOME
Please take good note of this section. Maka is a placid and gentle loving boy. Ideally his family will enjoy taking him on walks and have a large yard where he can run and play with shade and shelter although he loves sleeping inside. He will require proper puppy training. He is one of the easiest puppy’s you could have! He is such a joy and well behaved, however, as he grows and explores, he will need continuous training with commitment and patience and understanding from his new family. With that, he is going to be one fantastic addition to the family!
A loving, gentle, patient and committed family who understands that Maka will not be a puppy for long and will require regular exercise and inclusion in your daily routines. He needs a good diet, ongoing training and understanding he requires his naps. A family with a large and secure yard with grass and a shady area. He is relying on you to help him with training so that you both can enjoy a happily ever after! He is relying on you to provide a safe and loving home for the next 15 years or more of his life. He is relying on your commitment, patience and unconditional love. Maka is one amazing and healthy adorable boy!
ADOPTION CRITEREA
A home with a medium to large backyard with grass, shelter, and secure fencing.
A home with or without children, they must be dog savvy children who can handle puppy behavior.
A home with or without another dog.If another dog is in residence already we seek a Female of medium to large size who is well socialized and tolerant of puppy behavior.
A daily walk. Short walks while he is a puppy and his bones are developing. A moderate-long walk when is older and has more energy to burn.
A lot of love and training! Make should be welcomed as part of the family and not just left on his own in the backyard all the time. His new owner should dedicate time to training and take him to puppy classes.
He is young enough to learn if you have a dog savvy cat
We recommend children in the home to have prior dog / puppy exposure before your family applies for a young pups puppies do teeth and have sharp little puppy teeth
