Cassy

Hi, my name is Cassy, but I go by Cas, Sassy, and Casserole. 

I’m a really inquisitive girl with a playful and happy side, it just takes me a little while to come out of my shell. If you’re patient and let me take things at my own pace, you’ll be rewarded with so much love and affection and I will never fail to make you laugh with my antics! 

I’ve had a really rough start to my short life, so I will need a patient, quiet, and gentle owner/s who will be dedicated to my ongoing rehabilitation, but also who accepts I may never get to “normal dog” level.

I am making huge strides in my progress with my foster family, and am excited to continue this progress with my forever humans by my side. I love running in the park and playing with my soccer ball. My foster family are using a long line lead with me, and I adore going for a big jog around and saying hello to people and dogs.

Once I’m in my safe places (at my foster home it’s mamas bed, the couch, or sitting down outside) I am such a goofy and loving dog. I crave attention and affection, I just get too scared to accept it unless I’m in a safe zone, BUT I am making leaps and bounds as no one could even touch me in the beginning. 

I know I may sound like a lot of work but I promise the outcome of watching me blossom is worth it! I am SUPER food motivated, I’ll eat almost anything. I adore other dogs, I need a dog to make me feel safe. I would absolutely thrive with a friendly, confident, and playful companion as I just love to bound around and play! I’m a world ranked chewer, so invest some stocks in horns, antlers, hooves, and other long lasting treats for me to munch on so I don’t get to things I’m not meant to. 

Because I’m so scared of loud noises and sudden movements, an adult only home is required. Children and teens would scare me too much. I would just love a kind and quiet human family with a calm and fun dog to learn about the rest of the world with. I do like to chase birds, so I am unsure if I would be any good with a cat, so probably no small animals or pocket pets. 

I’m only 16 kilos, but I’m going to be a big girl, have you seen how long my legs are already?!
