Hi, my name is Kowhai, no I’m not a Kiwi but my name is a native flower in NZ. I am a little staffy/cattle dog x who comes to knee height and weighs around 17kgs.

I am a very shy, timid dog but do not be put off from this as I love people and dogs once I know them. I am happy meeting other dogs and play with them provided they are not overly boisterous.

I have not been walked much on the lead, but my current foster carer has been taking me out and I am now starting to enjoy these moments although cars and a busy environment currently scare me.

I don’t travel well in the car but over time and short trips I am sure my confidence will bloom, and I will get used to rides in the car.

I am happy to be left at home whilst my carer goes to work for the day and have not had any accidents in the house. I also sleep all night in my own bed and will not disturb you.

I love to have a play (see video) but haven’t yet fully got the concept of returning a ball.

I love to potter around the yard with you and enjoy your company and love a pat and cuddle but I will also happily leave you alone and sit/sleep in my bed. In the photos you will see how much I love my bed.

I would love to meet you so I can show you what an amazing dog I am.
