About Grundy
Grundy is 4 years old and weights 17 kg. He is located in NSW and has just been surrendered. He will only be available for adoption in NSW. He originally was rescued in 2019 out of a puppy farm in Coffs Harbour along with 187 other Poodles and Poodle Crosses. His breed type is officially unknown, but his Vet believes that he is a Labradoodle with a non shedding coat.
Grundy loves his humans and wants to be close to them. He will do well in a home where his humans are home a lot either retired or working from home. He has lived mostly as an outside dog,so needs to learn inside manners. I am looking for owners who are prepared to work with him on adjusting to being an inside dog.
Grundy is toilet trained, good to groom and good at the Vets. He is social with other dogs and can be rehomed as either an only dog or as a second dog. Grundy has never had much interaction with children so untested in this regard. Due to his size and bounciness, he will be best suited to an adult only home or where any children are teenagers or older.
This boy suffers from Anxiety which shows up as barking behavior. This barking can occur when left alone for long periods, or when he gets anxious or excited. He will not suit high density or apartment living where neighbors are very close. A home on a large lot or acreage would be ideal.
This boy needs a home where he can receive lots of love, exercise and attention.
If you are looking for a dog that will make for a wonderful close companion pet, please make application by calling me on 0411069622.
Adoption details
Here is a description of the Adoption process after applications are received:
• After carefully reviewing applications, I will make a shortlist of 2-3 applicants who best match the dogs needs. Only these applicants will be contacted for further information. I often receive numerous applications for any one dog(especially if it’s young and healthy) so contacting everyone is just not viable.
• Those shortlisted applicants will then be contacted no later than two weeks from the date of application. If you have not been contacted by the two week mark, then assume that you have not been shortlisted.
• Shortlisted applicants will be asked to provide a Vet and Grooming reference. This means that with the applicants permission I will contact their Vet and Groomer(if they have used one) to see how well they have looked after any current or past dogs.
• I then conduct viewings with the few applicants that have excellent references to see if they like the dog and visa versa. This is usually around 1-3 potential families.
• Once I have chosen an applicant, I conduct a “Fence Check” to ensure that the property is secure. If both parties are comfortable to proceed then adoption takes place. There is a two week trial period where adoptive parents can return the dog and receive a full refund if it doesn’t work out.
• Dogs are adopted with the following : Current Vaccination Certificate, Sterilisation Certificate, Microchip Details. Adoption fee is $575
• My adoption process is very thorough as I am committed to finding the very best home that suits each dogs needs and quirks. Rest assured I’m doing the very best I can to make excellent decisions. If you miss out on a dog, I keep all applications in the hope that another suitable dog will become available soon.
This process may seem like over kill, but many surrendered dogs have often come from a less than ideal situation, and it’s my responsibility to do everything in my power to ensure that their future is absolutely fantastic!!!
Have a great day
