About Noni - 5 Year Old Mixed Breed (On Trial)
This is Noni. This precious little miss came to us with no name and by the time I walked her to the car, I had called her Noni instead of No Name and it stuck. She answered to it from the very first time.
Noni is small mixed breed beauty. This girl is very petite. She is knee high, slim-lined, and despite loving her food, only weighs 8kgs. Her golden/ginger coat is short, and she sheds very little. She is smart and loyal and well mannered. It is thought she might be up to 5 years old.
Although very timid, Noni is a happy little girl for the most part. Her wagging tail will tell you she is happy, and her dancing spins tell you she is excited. She loves human company and listens intently to your every word. We recognise that wherever she comes from, she has had good obedience training, and is toilet trained too. Some things do not make her happy, but these can be worked around. Strange machine noises worry her. Hoses terrify her. Small male dogs off leash are a major no-no. So, Noni’s new people will hopefully be mindful not to take her to the dog park, not use the hose when she is next to them, and introduce her gently to machines other than the usual dishwasher, dryer etc. Oh! Noni doesn’t get aggressive, she runs and hides with her tail between her legs.
Noni has shown no signs of separation anxiety while in foster care, but she is happy co-existing with another foster (strangely a bossy small overweight male), so is never truly alone here. She is most confident when her people are around to keep company with. Noni gets on great with the extended family when they visit and enjoys a run around with the 21 month old grandson. A calm, quieter home which functions on routine would be ideal.
So if you are not looking for a building site forewoman, and not a dog park buddy, but are looking for someone to chat with, cuddle into, enjoy gentle walks with, share a lap with….Noni is waiting to meet you.
For more information on Noni, please contact her foster carer on their email fosterdog@guv.id.au. Noni is in foster care in Rankin Park NSW. Adoption fee is $600.
