Mercury

This handsome fella came into his foster home as a very timid, very tiny ball of fluff straight off the streets, but he has really grown in confidence (and stature) in the last few months.

Though he can be a bit wary of strangers, once he warms up to you, he’ll want to cuddle in bed every night, will greet you at the door when you come home, and generally be your little white and brown shadow.

Mercury loves to keep an eye on everything you do, if he can’t find a high point to watch the world from, he’ll patter along behind you from room to room.

He’s very food motivated and will scrutinise everything you eat waiting for crumbs to fall, and meow longingly if you’re late to give him dinner. This is an absolute blessing for a nervous cat, as it gives you a guaranteed way to win his heart!

He’s very playful, as most kittens are; his favourite toys are string toys that he can chase down, or anything small and throwable he can pounce on.

He’s very social with other cats and is regularly found in the middle of a cat cuddle pile purring contently, and would love another playful cat to get up to mischief with! If you do not have another friendly cat Mercury may not be suitable for your family.

He is also good with dogs and doesn’t tend to bolt when he sees them. He is untested with children but is very gentle.
He’s perfectly litter-trained, doesn’t scratch up furniture or curtains, isn’t hissy or aggressive with people or animals, and generally hasn’t had any issues at all settling into home life.

Mercury is the last of his litter still waiting for adoption, which has given us the opportunity to watch him grow from a nervous kitten into a playful and inquisitive adult. He has the potential to absolutely thrive in a home that has a little bit of patience, a few treats, and a lot of love.
