NOTE: You are unable to meet Calais until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Calais in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• I am hit and miss with other dogs and can be reactive if they are reactive to me. i may be okay going to a home with another dog but i am just as happy being an only dog if i get lots of attention from my family.
• I arrived at the shelter as a stray so my history is unknown. Due to this, my interaction with pocket pets or fowl that are free roaming in the house or yard is completely unknown. There can be no guarantee that I will be ok living with them, so it is recommended that I don't go to a home that has them.
• Due to coming to the shelter as a stray my history with children is unknown. I do seem to be a very gentle boy so I may be ok with children who are used to larger dogs.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• Lots of love and attention

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
• No cats as I did bark at them when meeting them at the shelter

My best features:
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit on command
• I LOVE tennis balls and will happily throw them around for myself
• Well mannered
