NOTE: You are unable to meet Charlie until/unless you have been notified that you are a successful applicant. An adoption cannot be approved unless you are able to come to the shelter to meet Charlie in person and bring any dogs you currently have with you.

What I need in my new home:
• Daily walks, trips to the park or beach, playtime in the backyard
• Further training with basic doggie manners
• To be allowed inside with my family
• A doggie playmate who is gentle and calm may be okay as boisterous dogs annoy me. Being an older girl I'd rather have a friend who older to chill with as I'm not really interested in playing or to be an only dog.
• I arrived at the shelter as a stray so my history is unknown. Due to this, my interaction with cats, pocket pets or fowl that are free roaming in the house or yard is completely unknown. There can be no guarantee that I will be ok living with them, so it is recommended that I don't go to a home that has them.
• Due to coming to the shelter as a stray my history with children is unknown. I do seem to be a very gentle girl so I may be ok with children who are used to larger dogs.
• Secure Fencing (6ft Colorbond or equivalent)
• Lots of toys and mental stimulation
• A diet of good quality dry food to help keep my teeth clean
• A family that will love and care for me during my twilight years

Things that I don't want in my new home:
• To be left alone in the backyard without any interaction
• Not to be allowed inside with my family
• Never to go on a walk or rides in the car
. Cats or pocket pets

My best features:
• Gentle & placid
• I can sit on command
• I have had some basic obedience training and am a generally well-mannered dog
• I walk well on lead but can pull a bit hard when I want to go somewhere in particular
• I love to have a chat when I'm excited
