About Billy
Lovely long blue boy Billy with mesmerising amber eyes, and a white tuxedo chest and delightful toe socks. An absolute dream to walk, Billy enjoys meeting all sizes of dogs, but most of all he enjoys befriending new humans. If you have people over, you betcha he'll make his happiness known with his sweet helicopter tail.
Though he was never taught, Billy prides himself on being a 30kg lap dog. If your lap isn't ready for our beautiful boy, he'll settle for dumping his sweet noggin onto your legs. He really loves to cuddle with his humans.
Billy enjoys daily walks, napping and playing with his toys. In true greyhound
fashion, he'll make you giggle enjoying these spontaneous zoomies, before he is exhaused and lapses into another snooze. His foster family marvel at how self-sufficient Billy is with the ability to entertain himself.
You can also leave without having to worry about your sock drawer being ransacked, Billy will just nap until you return home with his daily dose of pats. His foster carers report that he's "cheeky and affectionate" and a "good boy". We cannot give you a better testimonial than that!

Adoption details
Dogs are pack animals and Greyhounds, in particular, are very familiar with being surrounded by other dogs in their racing kennel environment. For this reason, when left alone without people or other dogs for company, some can be prone to separation anxiety which can manifest in destructive and/or noisy behaviour.
As a result we look to rehome dogs into households where they are not left on their own for more than 4 hours per day on a regular basis, without either people or another dog for company. We are happy discuss strategies such as a dog walker or doggy day care. Going to work with you is also a great option

Following your initial application, we conduct a home check. Our dogs are placed on a two week trial. The adoption fee is paid at time of placement and reimbursed if the trial is unsuccessful.
After the trial period is deemed successful, the adoption process is finalised.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
The rescue group has removed this pet and it is no longer available for adoption.
