About Daphne
Meet Daphne!
This 4 month old rescue kitten is looking for her forever home. Born under a pile of rubble and corrugated iron, Daphne's story is one of courage and resilience. Despite a rough start to life, Daphne has thrived with the love and affection she has received in her foster home.
Daphne has a beautiful soft, light smokey grey & white coat and stunning blue-green eyes that make her look like royalty.
She loves to eat, play, and enjoy head boops from anyone who will give them to her! Although she can be a little shy around new people and loud noises, she is fine with kids and great with other cats.
Her favourite hangouts are the top of the cat tree or under a table where she loves to sleep.
The ideal home for Daphne would be one that offers patience, love and lots of opportunities for play. She’d love to have a kitty friend, so ideally her new home will have an existing kitty friend or she will be adopted with her sister Nyx.
If you think you could provide such a wonderful space for this sweet girl, then please consider giving Daphne the loving forever home she deserves!
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are kept up to date with vet work until the date of adoption. The pet will be rehomed desexed, vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
