About Nyx
Meet Nyx!
This beautiful rescue kitty is looking for a loving home.
Nyx had a tough start to life, being born under a pile of rubble and corrugated iron. Her mummy and siblings were rescued by the kindest of families and they’ve thrived with the love and affection being poured upon them.
Nyx has an absolutely adorable fluffy black and white coat, big green eyes, and white socks on her feet that make her look like she's ready to go out dancing!
Nyx loves food, playing with her toys, and cuddles from her humans. She's not a huge fan of loud noises or sudden fast movements though, so she'll need a gentle hand in her new home to settle in comfortably.
When it comes to sleeping, Nyx prefers soft areas like blankets and pillows - they're the perfect spot for her afternoon naps!
Nyx may be a little shy at first but if you give her some time, she will come around in no time. She's great with kids and gets along well with other cats, though she hasn't been around any dogs yet.
Since being fostered in her current home, Nyx has gone from being nervous of people to seeking them out for love and attention!
The ideal home for Nyx would be one where she can get plenty of patience and loads of love. She’d love a kitty friend to play with, so ideally you’ll have a friend at home or will consider adopting Nyx and her sister, Daphne.
If you think you have what it takes to provide this sweet kitty with the home she deserves then fill out an adoption application today!
Adoption details
ADOPTION PROCESS:
1. An Adoption enquiry should be made via
https://form.jotform.com/shellys.place.rescue/adoption-enquiry
2. Once your application has been received, one of our volunteers will contact you for a phone interview. This is to determine whether one of our cats or kittens will be a good fit for your home. We all want long-term success in placing rescue animals, so finding the best fit for the animal AND the family is very important.
3. 'Meet & Greet' with the animal and their carer will then take place if the application is approved.
4. A Property check will take place via a video call (due to Covid restrictions). Once this has been successfully completed, adoption paperwork finalised and the adoption donation processed, the pet can be collected from foster care.
5. A 14 day settling-in period commences once the animal has been collected from foster care.
6. Adoption is finalised after 14 days. Paperwork/records will be included in an adoption pack.
7. All animals for adoption are desexed, 1st vaccinated, microchipped and treated monthly for fleas and intestinal worms. Once the adoption is finalised, the new owners are responsible for all vaccinations and preventative treatments.
As we are run entirely of volunteers we endeavour to respond to your enquiry as soon as we can. Your patience is greatly appreciated.
PLEASE NOTE: We are unable to hold any animals. Please only apply if you are ready to adopt now.
