Griffy is one amazing boy with the sweetest nature! If you get the right scratch spot, he gets the biggest closed lip smile you have ever seen and will literally melt slowly to the floor!

He seems to understand so well just what you’re asking of him; that you would almost think he could talk back!

Griffy is fully toilet trained; and eager to please. He responds well to commands Come, Sit, Stay, Lay down, Paw, Wait, Go to bed, Free, Outside, Up, Roll over & Leave it. He has not dug nor destroyed a thing whilst in care.

Griffy loves people and gets on fantastic with most dogs. He can seem over eager at times meeting them, but has proven he is very capable of quickly adapting to a variety of dogs quickly of different sizes and ages whilst in care.

Griffy loves being near his carer; and will happily spend the day following you around; or lying next to you as you work or watch tv on the couch. He is not one to bark much, though has proven he can be a great protector once he gets to know you if someone he doesn’t know enters the house or he sees a rat in the back yard! He is also truly amazing in how well and quickly he can be pulled back in line on command.

He is so lovely to come home to. Griffy gets the biggest smile when he sees you, and races around his people like a kangaroo, without jumping onto them.

He is not a big fan of bath time, so a wipe down with a wet cloth has kept him clean until we can work out a way to keep him settled during wash time.

Griffy has been formally diagnosed with Irritable bowel disease; and has now successfully transitioned to a fairly strict hypoallergenic diet to prevent reflux and vomiting. He is currently on Lifewise Biotic Skin Adult food as well as kangaroo meat and is doing exceptionally well, with symptoms now cleared up. He MUST maintain this diet to avoid his symptoms re-appearing, so please consider this requirement long term when applying, as the approximate cost for his food is $40 - $50 per week… saying this; he is worth every cent and more! The alternative food options given by the vets are Raw Canin Hypoallergenic kibble and wet food, Purina Proplan HA food, or novel proteins.

Griffy will need a home that has time to spend getting to know each other; patience and lots of love transitioning to his new home. He will settle quicker if he has a compatible doggy friend, or someone home more often than not.

Griffy is quite strong on the lead at first, but will settle. It is more the excitement of going for a walk than seeing other dogs that causes this. Over time, he should get easier to walk as he is so willing to please and obedient.

Griffy will be sadly missed by his foster family when he is snapped up by the right family. He is a wonderful and calm companion, and once has adapted to his new environment, will show that you will have one of the most loyal, obedient and adorable companions anyone could find!
