About Buddy
** IN FOSTER CARE IN RANDWICK**
Meet BUDDY! This senior gentleman is an absolute delight.
Just shy of 11 years young, Buddy still has lots of life left in him and is in excellent health. Buddy is an easy going Shepherd X who is still full of energy and loves to go for walks, have a wrestle with his toys, and take naps in between. Buddy is very well behaved, can be pat by strangers and greet dogs politely. He's really no trouble at all! Buddy is considered large but hovers around 25kgs so on the petite side of big.
Buddy is fine being left alone for periods of time and does not show signs of separation anxiety. He spent most of his life as an outside dog but has since discovered the delights of inside life and the couch and will need access to inside in his forever home. He also thinks humans are pretty great and likes to spend time with you, sitting on your lap or laying his head on you. Buddy has an endearing habit of offering his paw when he wants attention for a pat or if he feels a bit unsure. A yard would be a bonus or a secure outside space to take himself out to toilet would be enough.
Buddy is great with other dogs and children, however is not good with cats.

MY IDEAL HOME: A family or couple that have time to spend with me and take 1-2 short walks a day. A yard would be a bonus or a secure outside space to take himself out to toilet would be enough. Access to inside and outside.
MY ENERGY LEVEL: Still excited for a daily walk! 1 decent walk or 2 short ones is perfect. I am well behaved on the lead. My play style can be a little bit over excited at times but I've never been aggressive to other dogs. I often get excited around dinner time and like to throw my toys around.
MY SUITABILITY TO CHILDREN: I have been around kids before and am a gentle giant.
MY SUITABILITY TO CATS AND DOGS: I am fine with other dogs but am too excited by cats and give chase so no cats sadly.

Our foster carer will contact you when we receive your application to arrange a time for you to meet with their foster pet.
We want your adoption through Maggie's to be a good experience so we will occasionally suggest a different cat or dog that may suit your situation better and the needs of the individual pet.
All our pets leave for their new homes on a two week trial. At the end of the trial, we will transfer the microchip into your name and provide you with the pets vet certificates. Once you receive the Certificate of Identification from council, your adoption will be complete.
Please consider, that a Maggie's Pet is a pet for Life, before adopting.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
