Meet Missy! đź‘‹
Missy is soon turning nine years old. This beautiful girl is fit and healthy for her age. This sweetheart is looking for a calm home to enter her senior years. Missy would love a family with someone home most of the time.
Missy previously lived with her elderly owner until she had to go into care. Missy gets on well with other dogs, and she has a motherly interest in the small dogs she has been living with. Missy would love her new home to have another dog for company and playtime.
Missy would suit somebody who is looking for a real companion, as she is never more than two steps away from you. She is affectionate and always pleased to see you. Missy loves all humans. She approaches visitors gently yet smooches them and tail-wags happily!
Missy is calm, quiet and gentle soul! She is content to fit in with what everyone else is doing! She is not demanding and settles very easily. However, she is very fit and active and agile, and does need an active lifestyle.
Missy enjoys going for walks, and greets other dogs politely. She loves going to the off-leash beach and she gets excited by other dogs running after balls into the surf, and would love to join in! She hasn’t been off-leash yet, but she would love to be!
Missy walks well on a lead, and travels silently in the car! Missy is house trained and sleeps quietly inside at night. Missy is used to sleeping with other dogs and/or people in the same room. She is happy to sleep on either a dog bed, or a rug next to her humans’ bed.
She is a quiet girl (except when her foster sister mini-foxie plays “doorbell” and Missy joins in as support) and she never knocks anything over or makes any mess. These are the bonuses of having a dog past the puppy stage!
Missy has been to the vet for a health check and the vet commented on her excellent teeth and strong heart! She moves like a young dog, as she is very flexible and smooth in her movement. She likes to stand on her back legs to stare out of the front windows. She moves like a black panther!
Being a working breed, Missy will need a home that can provide both physical and mental stimulation. Missy is a clever girl and loves to learn. She watches everything, trying to learn what is going on and what she should do.
If you think you can offer Missy, her perfect forever home, we'd love to hear from you. 📧
