About Bruno - 7 Month Old Kelpie x Staffy

This endearing lad is a 7 month old Kelpie/Staffy X, with an enthusiasm for life.
Bruno loves to be around people, greeting everyone he meets when out on walks – be they kids or adults. His calm nature and kind eyes pull you in for his favourite things - cuddles and chilling-out for belly rubs and ear scratches. Bruno is genuinely a happy go lucky pooch.
He’s proven himself to be very easy to train, and it will be easy for his new family to continue. He walks well onlead, though easily distracted due to his limited exposure to the outside world. But every day his confidence grows as he takes in all the sounds and sights that he missed as a young pup.
Still a bit of a goofball puppy, Bruno loves his toys so games can be used for furthering his training. He’s quite food motivated which also makes training easy.
Bruno currently sleeps on his own bed and would prefer to sleep indoors as he finds comfort in his people. Bruno is dog friendly, rehoming with another dog would be considered. Bruno can happily live with children over the age of 5 years.
Bruno is looking for a very special family. He is a little uncoordinated, and has been diagnosed with a congenital narrowing and rotation of his spine. It’s something the vet believes he will grown out of. So Bruno is looking for that special family/person to welcome him into their home, one that will enjoy him and love him for who he is, and be rewarded by genuinely helping a pup in need. Any questions or queries you may have, Bruno’s carer is happy to answer.
We have not tested Bruno with small animals, cats or farm animals.
Bruno is one of the special ones, after a rough start in life, he gives his people 100% of his love and energy and we can’t wait to see him in a forever home.

He is in care in Newcastle, NSW and is not available for adoption interstate due to ongoing vet treatment. Bruno’s adoption fee is $600 and he is desexed, vaccinated, treated for fleas and worms, and microchipped.

Medical notes
Bruno is a special needs dog. He came into our care with impaired mobility of his rear legs, causing him to be uncoordinated. Under the care of one of our vet partners, Bruno has been diagnosed a congenital narrowing and rotation of his spine. He underwent laser therapy with minimal improvement. Our vet believes Bruno has good quality of life and currently shows no signs of discomfort. His new family would be willing to manage possible ongoing health needs and vet care for Bruno. Adoption details
(1) The first step is to fill in our online Adoption Questionnaire:

(2) If the questionnaire is approved we will arrange a property check so we
can verify that your home and yard are suitable for the pet you've applied for.
(3) After that we will arrange for you to meet the pet, usually at the foster
carer's home, nearby park or your home.
(4) If both sides agree, then you can pay for and adopt your new family
member! The two week trial begins on the day of adoption.
