Chipmunk is the absolute sweetest guy around. He is looking for a new family to show off his kind and loving side, his humans will need to be patient, calm, understanding and have a quiet environment. He does take time to warm up but once he feels safe and comfortable he is such a lovebug. He is extremely timid and fearful of the unknown, time is what he needs most.

He is ready to lap up a life of luxury where he can be inside most of the time and become your closest companion. Whilst he does get along with other dogs after a while, he is seeking a home where he is your one and only so he doesn't have to worry about sharing his things. It would be great for him to have other dogs in his life though that he can practise socialising with. He prefers dogs that have a calm and quiet nature.

Cats aren't a bother to him, he generally ignores them. Due to his skittishness he is not suitable to rehomed with kids or have kids visit. Chipmunk just wants a quiet and peaceful life where he can potter around with his human, he isn't even too phased about walks. He is gradually building up confidence to explore outside the home but he is happiest just being inside with you. He does stress and vocalise if left without human company so is better suited to someone who won't leave him for extended periods. Apartment/city living would not be comfortable for this guy, nor homes that have regular visitors.

If you give him the time and space he needs to feel safe you will be rewarded with a happy lil snugglepot who looks at you and melts your heart. He is craving love and approval but is so scared to try and get it. Chipmunk comes to you in his own time and that needs to be respected. He has such a beautiful soul just waiting to blossom.
