About Lorenzo (Enzo)
Please note Enzo is currently in care in Toowoomba and would ideally love him to be rehomed in this area.
From his lovely carer:
Lorenzo, or Enzo as he’s known, is a beautiful, big, strong and goofy, an absolute gentle giant, he doesn't realise his strength and for this reason I recommend a home with older children.
He’s 14 months, fully vaxxed, microchipped, wormed and desexed.
He does get excited and will push his way through. (he has been fine around a 3 year old, always with supervision) even following her commands sometimes when she mimics us.
Enzo likes to spend his days playing in the yard, especially zoomies and fetch when you get home after being out. Of an evening he loves to be with you around the house and will lay down while you do dishes or will chill with you, (once he has jumped up and flopped himself down on the couch) sometimes on top of you because he thinks he is a lap dog so sometimes he needs reminding about personal space.
Enzo does know some basic commands but needs someone who will continue to help him remember these, especially when excited. He does need work on his recall as the world is exciting and will pull on the lead to do what he wants,we are working on this. We have colourbond fences as he will do anything to be near his humans, even eat his way through wooden pailings, push his way through chain mesh or dig, however he never jumped the fences but sat at the front door waiting for someone.
Enzo likes car rides but will only get into the cab, if you want him on the tray, he will make you lift his backside in.
Enzo loves other dogs but has not been around cats or other animals whilst in our care. I think he would love a friend to share his yard with and would be most happy if you have lots of stimulating toys for him to play with as he does tend to chew or cry when he is feeling lonely.
Enzo is also crate trained, toilet trained and house trained.
He does have Ectrodactyly, which is also known as split hand/foot malformation (SHFM), which is a condition characterized by absence or malformation of one or more of the fingers or toes but, it does not hinder him in any way and the vet has confirmed it does not need and vetwork now or in the future.
