Scamp

If you love an affectionate and lovable little fluff who will follow you to the ends of the earth …. Let me introduce you to the adorable special little boy Scamp.
Scamp is a 12 month old maltese cross pup. He is the goofiest, most affectionate little thing who just wants to be loved all day. He spends his days following you around and playing with his toys. He just wants to be by your side and be involved in anything that you’re doing and yup that means everything lol If you like alone time without being watched 24/7 … nope Scamp is not the boy for you lol
With his soft and fluffy white as snow coat cute little underbite and crooked teeth along with his outgoing personality this little man weighing just 7 kilos will be the perfect addition to most family types

Favorite things
Scamp loves exploring, cuddling on the couch, playing with his toys and just being by your side. He also loves his daily walks expo.ring the neighborhood and he just LOOVESSS treats lol
Interactions with humans
In the house, Scamp absolutely loves his humans and new humans. He cannot contain his excitement at all, so tries to jump on everyone all the time and lick their feet so he is not very well mannered in that sense lol
Scamp acts the same as above with children but it is all out of love and excitement.
On walks however, scamp can still be a little unsure and scared of strangers in the distance so he will usually bark at them to show just how big and brave he is …… such a small dog syndrome
Obedience/training
Scamp clearly has had no basics instilled so this is a work on progress
He will need continuing work on things like sit etc and getting his walking on lead down pat as he does get over excited at times and does little spins etc lol which is not uncommon in little breeds
Animal Social skills
Scamp chases birds in the backyard, on the street, and in parks. In his previous life he was definitely a bird retrieving dog lol
We have tested his with other dogs and found with larger dogs ( which most are compared to him haha he wanted to show them how tough he was and with smaller ones his size he became way to overexcited and annoying for them so based on this Scamp is definitely an only dog home while his new family spend the time teaching him social skills

Food
Scamp is currently eating a small dog kibble with shredded chicken mixed into it.
Scamp doesn’t have a big appetite and doesn’t seem too interested in his food most of the time. However, when he does get hungry he will take himself to the food bowl and a little bit of boiled shredded chicken always helps him eat heartily. He is more of a grazer
Independence
Scamp will always jump at the chance to spend the whole day by your side. He really just wants to be with you all the time. But he does not at all kick up a fuss when he is home alone or put outside. He usually whines for a few seconds then settles in his outdoor bed and happily goes to sleep.
When he is alone outside for long periods he will find things to self entertain so be careful what you leave out .. shoes etc He usually plays with his toys at the start and settles into bed afterwards.
Scapm loves to play in dirt which really isn't great for a white fluffy dog haha he probably was a gopher or a wombat in a previous life .
Bathing & Hygiene
Scamp loves his digging so he does tend to get his paws and face dirty quite often. He does not enjoy his baths but he will stay still while you try and wash him to get the first off him
Sleeping
Scamp is well toilet trained so he usually sleeps on my bed. He settles in anywhere on the bed and usually moves around throughout the night. If he has his own snuggly dog bed to sink into, he will be perfectly fine.
Exercise
Scamp can be a little energetic at times so he will need to be walked at least a couple of times a week. Every day doesn’t seem necessary for him to be content as he usually finds a way to spend his energy in the backyard or walking around with you.
Inside the home
Scamp is overall very well behaved inside the house. We don’t leave him indoors alone because he has gotten into a few pairs of shoes and other little things.
He is very well toilet trained and only peed inside the house once on his first day. Since then, he has held onto his bladder until we open the door for him to go outside.
Scamp definitely LOVES spending his time on the couch, and saying no doesn’t really work out in the end.
Medical conditions
As Scapm does have an underbite he will require regular dental checks to ensure his teeth stay clean and lots of teeth cleaning chews and bones
Ideal home
In an ideal world, I would love to see scamp in a house full of young children and adults. He has a LOT of love to give and energy to spend, so he would benefit from having loving adults and children around that he could play with. Children who obviously do NOT play rough are well suited. He is definitely very needy, so he will require someone who is willing to give him the time, love and attention he desires. He will also require someone who doesn’t mind him following them around, jumping on them and being on the furniture as this is his absolute favorite thing to do - hop onto the couch, do a circle and plop himself next to you. A part of his body has to be touching you at all times haha.
