Bolt - 15 Week Old Ridgeback X (On Trial)

Hi, Bolt’s the name, and a big yard for zoomies is the end game! Beautiful Bolt is a 15 week old Ridgeback X, looking for his furever family to grow up with. Bolt is an extremely playful and intelligent young man who loves cuddles with his foster parents and wrestling with his foster siblings. Bolt is an affectionate and assured young man who enjoys doing activities with his humans and has even joined his foster carers for a quick gym class where he was a very good boy.

Bolt is a quick learner, and has mastered sitting on command and is walking nicely on a harness. He sleeps through the night in his crate, and sits and waits for his meals. Bolt will be a large dog so his forever family will need to continue his training to ensure that he grows to be the best dog he can be. Bolt loves other dogs and has already made plenty of doggy friends and is well-behaved around cats. Bolt loves water, tug-o-war and will play with any toy that he can get his paws on.

Bolt gets very excited when he sees other dogs or humans and wants to jump up and play with everyone. Luckily, Bolt is a very fast learner and he is already learning to sit and wait for pats or playmates but Bolt’s ideal family will need to continue his training and reward him when he shows off his excellent behaviour. Bolt would benefit from a home with another friendly dog or cat to keep him company or an active owner who will help him burn off his energy each day.

Since Bolt gets excited around new people and can jump up, a home with children over the age of 8 is needed. Bolt is going to be a large dog do he will need a home with six foot tall fences with no small gaps. Unfortunately, rural fencing (eg: mesh or wire) is not suitable.

As Bolt is not yet desexed, he is only available for adoption to Newcastle, Lake Macquarie, Central Coast and Port Stephens because he will need to be returned to a DRN approved vet for desexing when he is approximately 5/6 months old.
