About Gemma and Jack
Assisted rehoming pleaes for Gemma & Jack
Their beloved owner has recently passed away ❤️
Jack is a 15-year-old male blue cattle dog.
He is a very loyal friend and very friendly to family and friends.
Despite his older years, Jack is still active and in pretty good health. He eats and drinks well, has good eyesight and hearing and still loves a daily walk.
Jack has spent his entire life on rural property with the companionship of other cattle dogs including his best mate Gemma.
He loves the open space and swims in the creek or dam.
Jack has been an outside dog most of his life, but on the times he gets a treat and is allowed inside, he stays on his bed, and doesn’t go to the toilet until he is let outside.
Jack values human companionship, and is a great family dog, but he is not needy and equally enjoys some independence.
Jack is de-sexed, microchipped, and fully vaccinated.
Gemma is an 11-year-old female blue cattle dog and the best mate of Jack.
Gemma is a very friendly dog and loves people.
She is in great health and loves to play with Jack and her family, which usually consists of fetching a ball or stick and returning it to your feet.
Gemma has grown up on the same rural property with Jack and they are great mates. She too has been an outside dog, however given the choice, she’d prefer to be indoors with her family. She has good manners if allowed indoors, but can sneak off her bed at times to seek an extra pat or cuddle. Gemma loves human companionship but is not too needy and enjoys her own space.
Gemma is de-sexed, microchipped, and vaccinated.
They have been spending the past few months staying with other family members in a residential house in Brisbane.
Although they have started to acclimatize to life as city dogs, and now get their daily walks on a lead, they much prefer the environment they have spent all their lives on and a new family on property is highly desired.
Jack and Gemma are best mates and we are looking to re-home them to a lucky new family as a pair.
This couple needs to stay together & live on small acreage .

Adoption details
We list animals for adoption on Pet Rescue as well as on our own Animals-in-Need Website. We talk with people who contact about an animal to see what their needs and situation are. My emphasis is on getting the right animal for the people and the right people for the animal. If everyone's needs are met things usually work out well.
Please note all our cats are indoor cats only.
If the situation sounds good we arrange a meeting. If all goes well we let people try the animal out for a couple of weeks to ensure that everyone is happy.
We keep records of all adopters, follow up to ensure all is well and undertake to take back any animal if circumstances change.
