About Dorset
Meet Miss Dorset, the last member of our 10-strong Kelpie litter. She was the first to find herself in a foster home with an amazing big brother named Frankie, and she has learnt so much from her time in foster.
Dorset is a typical puppy - cheeky, curious, playful and affectionate. Dorset is easy to train due to her love of food but also because she is incredibly clever and quick to pick things up.
She thrives on having a playmate but is also happy to explore the yard and take in all the sights & smells. She is content to have some downtime in her pen and will occupy herself with her toys (especially her squeaky sheep).
She is quite fearless and thunder/rain was not a concern, nor was sharing a house with a dog 30kg bigger than her. She is an active and energetic puppy who is exploring the world by using her mouth, so redirection onto toys and enough playthings to keep her occupied is a must.
Her carer says she's a good sleeper and she's able to be resettled easily if she does wake - Dorset knows the phrase "sleep" means she has to lie down. Dorset would suit almost any home but it's important to note that her breed requires daily exercise, enrichment and stimulation in order to stop boredom.
If darling Dorset appears to be the puppy missing from your life, please organise to meet her today.
