Nala

Hi, I'm Nala, or Sweetpea as my foster Mum refers to me. I'm a gentle 7-month-old kelpie girl.

I love to run and play, travel really well, walk well on the lead although I do need more practice, am crate trained, can sit, leave it, stay, and wait patiently for my food and not rush out the front door like a good girl. My recall is improving each day. I do respond to a quick loud whistle and the word “come” but will need continued work, especially under distraction, although as I love being by your side, I never venture too far away. I'm also toilet trained, my foster mum says I’m such an easy girl.

I am really good with kids and enjoy my pats, although I do tend to herd if you run around and squeal, as I can still be a bit excitable like most young working breeds. I'm a very active and driven girl, and I like to keep busy but happy to chill too! I do enjoy curling up on the couch for a cuddle or at your feet while you work and love to be inside, I can entertain myself with all my toys, bones, a carrot or an empty toilet roll, I love tearing those apart! Did I say I LOVE cuddles?

I love other dogs once I've been introduced properly as I do like to play, so a friend would be good for company when you're out.

I need a forever home with experienced owners who understand working dog breeds, and are committed to continuing on with my training, daily exercise and stimulation, and helping me to be the most content and well-adjusted girl I can be, as I’ll be one ripper of a dog as I am a quick learner.
