About Archie
It's been a week now since Archie escaped his 6month stint at the pound and this is what we have found.
He love, love, loves humans, so much so that he can get a little over excited when he first sees them so at this stage I'd recommend a home with super dog savvy kids or at least ones over 10.
He's a relatively fast learner, and is food (and tummy rubs) driven, he is mastering the art of drop and and place, although he can get easily distracted. He loves being with humans and would prefer to be with them at all times, but is also happy to laze out in the sun if he's got to stay home on his own, although he will chase birds and the wind so we assume he wouldn't be cat / pocket pet friendly. He hasn't shown any signs for being destructive although he will chew doggo toys and potentially Teddies and other kids toys if he's given access to them. Oh and he loves balls.
He has a very big bark, and isn't afraid to use it if he hears or sees something he's unsure of, but it hasn't been something that lasts more than a couple of barks.
He adores other dogs, but doesn't seem to have had a lot of experience playing with them as he can get a little too rough at times, but a quick correction from us (or the other dog) it reminds him to settle down.
He is an awesome little guy, and is the perfect snuggle buddy. He would absolutely benefit from on going training but would make an incredible companion.
A meet is essential
