About Kermit
Kermit is an active, loving six month old pup who loves everyone! He is an Australian Cattle Dog mix (possibly crossed with a large breed) and will mature in to a big dog.
Kermit loves water (of course!) and is keen to join in on any activity that is going on! He is energetic, clever and affectionate, and loves to hang out with his people. Be warned though, he is a leaner! He is good with horses and cattle, so a home on the land would suit him perfectly, where he can go for a ride with his person and enjoy the great outdoors. He is also great with other dogs though has a boisterous play style.
Kermit will need plenty of mental and physical activity to keep him healthy and happy. He has responded very well to training and has undergone an intensive three week training bootcamp at Homestead Kennels to fine tune his manners. He has mastered sit, walks beautifully on lead (even with distractions) and is crate trained. He loves to go for a walk to the local shops and cafes, and travels well in the car.
Kermit will do best if he has a dog friend or human who will be around most of the time, so that he doesn't become bored and develop unwanted behaviours. He would make an ideal companion for someone working on the land, or a tradie who wants a mate on the worksite. Because he is still a boisterous pup, Kermit is probably not suitable around small kids, but he is fine with older (more sturdy) kids. He is not suited to living with cats.
