About Latte
Sweet little Latte is looking for a home where she will get everything she deserves in life. Latte’s previous owners do not have time to spend with her or take her out for the walks she loves or snuggle with her which she craves.
Latte is very small, weighing approx 3.5kg. She is a beautiful Silky Terrier girl.
She loves attention and will follow you from room to room to see what you are doing. She loves cuddles and pats. She is a fabulous companion and will always be near by. She adores a good walk ( she’s missed out on these in her previous home) and will stride out in front at all times. She is also very good in the car and is happy to head off anywhere with you.
BUT she is small and fast, and quick to try and get past you at the door as she is so keen to get out and explore the world. She has some existing anxiety, a result of being left alone for long periods of time. The foster carer has worked hard to rectify this and Latte is ok being left for shorter periods of time now, but will still howl a little when 1st left until she settles. Any new home will need to be patient and understanding with her and continue the terrific training the foster carer has already put in. Having said that, this little girl has already led too much of a solitary life so her new home should have dog parents that are around a lot of the time and are happy to take her on outings with them instead of leaving her behind.
Latte does like to look out a front window and will bark a little at the goings on outside, but is learning well when to stop.
Latte is fine around other small dogs, she did have a friend in her previous home for many years, and would love another small easy going dog in the home for company. She does bark at some other dogs on lead out on walks and is a little scared of larger dogs in general. You need to have a firm grasp on her lead, she would be a flight risk if she gets scared. She has not been tested with cats.
In her previous home, the long periods left alone inside meant she had no choice but to toilet inside, which was really distressing to her. She must have at least a small safe garden or suitable courtyard that she will access to 24/7 to toilet and explore, which she loves.
Latte is very small and very fast to move, she adores a good walk or even a run and wants to be taken out to explore the world often so she needs owners that can offer her this kind of life please.
Medical notes
Latte has had a full dental and health check whilst in care.

Please be aware that Paws and Recover is run by volunteers who also work. We endeavour to answer enquires as quickly as possible. Some animals will inevitably be very popular and will generate many enquires. Where there is a high volume of enquires received, it will be our priority to contact those that best fit the requirements of the animal. This may mean that it is not possible for all enquires to be answered. Please keep an eye on the website for all updates.
Providing quality information as a part of your enquiry including information about your home environment, family, work hours, other pets and what you are looking for in a companion animal along with what you can offer one will greatly assist.
