About Chucky
Chucky is a little pocket rocket, he is playful, happy go lucky, cuddly and a bit of a shadow.
**He is going to need an active person to adopt him, along with another desexed active dog of similar size, in the home, (an older dog just won’t do).**
Chucky is toilet trained, so he is looking for an indoor/outdoor lifestyle, the best of both worlds. He currently travels in a crate in the car, he has a few excited whines then settles in to the trip, but his carer thinks he would travel well in a harness on the seat.
Chuky’s training needs to be ongoing so he continues to be a well-mannered boy. He can sit when asked most of the time (but life is just to fun to be sitting) so consistency and rewards are needed. Chucky loves loves loves walks, there is so much to be seen and smell, he pulls a bit and his career is working on this and advice can be given if needed to help him learn how to calmly walk on lead. Unfortunately, when out of the yard he is having too much fun to remember to recall so he will need to be kept on a lead unless in a fenced in area.
Over all he is a great little dog who will thrive with ongoing training and lots of exercise and mental stimulation.
*Please only apply if you are ready to meet and adopt this pet now, and if all family members are in support of the adoption. *
Adoption details
Please note- we do not work on a first in best dressed basis, we assess all applications to choose the home that we believe will best match the animal.
If you believe one of our animals would be a good match for your home please send us a detailed email us with some information about the people and any other animals in your home as well as the type of lifestyle you can offer a new rescue pet. We are volunteerswho run the rescue around families, paid employment and other commitments so your patience is appreciated.
We do require any other dogs in your home meeting our foster animal before they head home with you. This enables us to assess their compatibility and helps prevent them being returned and creating more confusion/insecurities for the foster animal.
All our animals are available for a two week trial with full refund. They are also covered by a lifetime return policy. If you ever find yourself unable to care for or keep your pet please contact us and they will come back into our care, this is a condition of our Adoptions.
