About Morty
Hey my name’s Morty, I’m 14 ish years old.
I was dumped and found as a stray, ended up in a pound in a pretty bad way. The staff didn’t think I was going to make it, but fortunately a rescue took me.
I Came into TOTF with a severe case of kennel cough, and took me weeks to recover.
When I went for my check up they found a slight heart murmur and a mouthful of rotten teeth.
I’ve had the dental surgery and had 10 teeth removed.
(Someone sold a kidney, to pay that vet bill!)
I’m on 1.25mg cardisure a day.
I eat really well, and sleep well, and I still love, love my walks.
I’m looking for someone that understands Poms little quirky personalities and can afford my heart meds.
I think the rescue said they will supply a few months worth! How cool is that?
I’m great with other small dogs, and some bigger dogs.
My coat still looks a little shabby, after my ordeal and my life before on mediocre food! Yuk!
Give me a few months of some love and great nutrition and I’m going to be a good sort.
I know I’m 14 but I don’t feel it now! I could have another 3-4 years left in me.
I don’t want to go to a busy household or with little kids!
I just want someone to love me, feed me, walk me and devote their life to me, as I’m pretty special, and lucky, to be saved by this mob.
I’m in Nerang on the Gold Coast.

Adoption details
We shortlist and contact families who may fit the dogs needs. If indications are positive, normally after sleeping on it, a home check is organised, then an adoption agreement is completed, adoption donation (variable on account of age and health of individual dog) is transferred and the dog will become part of your family.
All our dogs have had a consultation with our vet, are desexed, vaccinated, microchipped, wormed and treated for fleas. As we want every dog to be in its own family we try and fit dogs into forever homes, we don’t offer “Trials”. Naturally unforeseen circumstances arise occasionally where it’s preferable dogs come back to us as per our adoption agreement.
This pet has been adopted and found love with its new family.
