** Sam has tested positive to E.canis and has been placed on a 28 day course of anti-biotics to treat the symptoms**

It recommended by DPIRD that all dogs being moved into, out of, within northern WA, or areas where E. canis may be active are:
* not showing any signs of E. canis
* treated with a registered tick product effective in the prevention of the brown dog tick
* taken to a veterinarian if they begin showing signs of fever, lethargy or weakness, bleeding or bruising, not eating or weight loss.

Without further ado, meet Sam!! (affectionately known as Sammie):

Sammie has come a long way and has learnt that people can be trusted. Although Sammie can still present as timid with new people and dogs, once she trusts you, her true personality shines brightly, and she will be a very loyal companion.

Sammie has been thriving in her foster home and has been loving the company of her friendly and ever sociable beagle foster sibling. Sammie would therefore suit a home with or without a dog, however if she had another dog to be friends with, she would need to be introduced slowly.

Sammie is a very active and playful pup who loves to go on walks and adventures with her people and is eager to learn. She has picked up very quickly how to sit, wait, lay down, roll over and shake paw. Sammie enjoys a routine and sleeps well throughout the night. She also understands how to use the doggy door to go outside to the toilet.

Sammie prefers humans of the adult variety, enjoys being where her humans are, and after a good play and walk, wants nothing more than to cuddle on the couch.
