About Moose
Based in Horsham Rural Victoria.
✅️ Needs secure fencing
❌️ No livestock or poultry.
Our handsome fellow Moose is ready to search for his new home. Moose is a terrier x Whippet so has the hunting terrier nose and and tenacity with the speed of the whippet.
Size wise - Moose is short in the legs under knee height but long in the body. He is a happy and busy boy that loves to hangout with his humans. He would make a great addition to a family with older children/teenagers.
Moose has been good with other dogs in the foster placement but does like the human focus to be on him so he is probably best as an only dog or with a tolerant female dog.
Moose is not particularly good with chickens or sheep - terrier drive to chase. Moose's date of birth is 1 March 2022, so he is still a baby.
Moose will need secure fencing (he goes through rural fencing), a family committed to meeting his physical and mental requirements and prepared to put in some further obedience training and walking on loose lead.
Great little dog for the right home, which includes living an indoor/outdoor lifestyle as he loves being a lap dog, free of chickens and livestock.
Moose goes to gis new home flea and worm treated, fully vaccinated, desexed and microchipped. His adoption fee is $800.
To register interest in Moose please email us on phoenixarh@outlook.com and tell us what has drawn you to Moose and the type of home you can offer him.

Adoption details
We like to take the personal approach where a person sends an email of interest around an animal and then we will follow up with phone discussions and email exploration through a survey.
Please note we are a small group of volunteers that balances the administrative side with the care of the animals.
Please only apply for one of our animals if you are genuinely interested in them.
We expect the prospective owner to travel to meet the animal and we are open to trial periods to ensure we have the match right.
