About Jake
*jake is currently trialling his new home* jakey-boy is looking for a new forever home where he’ll be safe, secure and loved…. . This cute little fella had been hanging around one of our sarg carers places of work for weeks so she decided to try and find out who owned him. His owner turned out to be an elderly couple living on a fruit block without any fences so of course at every opportunity jake was out and about having a lovely time. The lady asked if a home could be found for him as the only choice she had was to keep jake on a chain which she knew wasn’t fair so of course sarg stepped in to help. Although she adores him, his carer can’t keep jake as she already has three dogs of her own. She says he looks just like a kelpie except he has the cutest little short legs! he’s very dog-friendly and has fitted in “like a glove” with her own fur kids, they just play and play and he doesn’t even bother about the cat. Jake is very gentle, enjoys a cuddle and really loves a walk. His carer goes for a walk through the fruit blocks and jake walks along side her without a lead on and always comes when he’s called. Which “leads” us to the one thing wrong with him she says and that is he hates leads! she’s been trying to train him to walk on a lead but he freaks out and then won’t come near her – we think this probably stems from poor jake being chained up all the time. His carer will persevere with this so hopefully with some tlc he’ll get there…. . Jake would benefit from an inside / outside lifestyle with either a doggie friend for companionship or where he won’t be left alone for long periods of time especially during his settling in period. Secure fencing, bones to chew on and toys to play with in his new home will make jake very happy indeed! jake is small to medium in size. If jake sounds like the kinda mate you’ve always wanted by your side then please contact sarg for an application now!
