Hi, my name is Teddy, I’m quiet the gentle giant. I am very loving, gentle and obedient.. I listen to commands (most of the time), I will sit and drop when asked, wait for food, go to bed and mostly stay there unless something more interesting is happening, that I have to investigate 🤨 I think the most important thing about me though is that I am fully toilet trained!! #winning 💪🏽
I love to fossick around the garden often bringing sticks to the back deck for a good ole chew… I weighed about 40kg last time I went to the vet, I have a beautiful, luscious, shining, black, short hair coat. I am calm and love to laze around with my foster humans, sometimes I get the zoomies for a bit of fun chasing my pesky tail and doing laps showing off my lighting speed and agility… I am happy to be left inside while my family go out, I will find a comfy spot to hang out for the day while their gone…
I really love my humans and I’m content knowing you are there … all in all I’ve been told I’m a very well behaved, obedient, loving dog. I love my daily walk and I’m very obedient on the lead and with a gentle reminder of what a good boy I am, I do not bark at oncoming human or dog traffic…
I deserve a family that will include my as a family member and love me as much as I love them 🥰 I think my only downfall is that I’m still anxious meeting some new humans, mostly men. I was mistreated very badly in the past 🥺 so I need someone or a couple someone’s that are going to take the time I need, to help me come out of my shell again 🥹

Our adoption process is easy. You will receive a application for the animals you are interested in. Please full that in and send it back to us.
Even though you may be first to message, this does not always guarantee you will be chosen to adopt. By no means do we run on a "first in, first served basis". We aim to ensure that our animals are adopted into the most suitable home for them and the new family.
With all our animals, we go on what our vet has told us and what we believe the breed and age to be. We never guarantee the breed or age but take the best educated guess.
Please note: Our shelter is located in the Snowy Mountains. We are a 5 hour drive from Sydney and Melbourne and 2 to 3 hours from Canberra.
