About Monroe
Introducing the beautiful Monroe. Monroe is a Wolfhound x born 20th September 2021.
This lovely lady was brought in to the facility as an unmicrochipped stray & unfortunately no one came looking for her.
All of us are completely baffled as to why she wasn't claimed as she is the sweetest little (big) thing. She's so beautiful we named her after the infamous Marilyn Monroe who was known as one of the most beautiful women of her generation.
Monroe is a super sweet young lady who loves nothing more than spending time with people. Being 18 months old she is still a bouncy puppy, just in the form of a large dog. As she is so large & boisterous we are recommending a home with older children & no elderly so she can't accidentally knock them over.
Monroe tested well with other dogs, she's just very puppy-like with her play style which can be a turn off to some dogs. If you have another dog at home we will need to do a meet & greet with her to ensure they get along before going home.
Monroe appeared to be unfazed by cats. If you have existing cats at home we recommend a slow & controlled introduction to ensure a safe & happy relationship.
Monroe didn't test well with pocket pets, so she will need a home with no chickens or rabbits etc.
Monroe shows no signs of separation anxiety or food aggression towards humans.
Monroe is such a loving girl who wants nothing more than a home she can call her own and not have to worry about losing another family.
If you think you could be that furever family for Monroe, please contact our friendly staff via email at ccacfpetadoptions@gmail.com or 0499 900 272 to organise a meet and greet.
Monroe's adoption fee is $450, and this includes her desexing, vaccination and lifetime registration. Monroe is also regularly treated for fleas and worms.
Monroe is currently located at East Maitland.
Adoption details
If you are interested in adopting one of our animals, please contact us on 0499 900 272.
Staff will ask more about your lifestyle and the information you provide will helps us to achieve the best match between the dog or cat and their new home. We will also have certain adoption requirements that have to be approved prior to meeting the animal (eg fencing requirements, no young kids, etc)
Once all of your questions have been answered and adoption requirements met and approved, its time to meet your potential new furbaby. This meet will be conducted at the shelter in the Hunter Valley.
Should you have an existing dog in your life, we will require a meet and greet to ensure that they get along.
The final step (pending agreement by both parties) is the payment of the adoption fee and filling in of associated paperwork for your new furbaby.
Congratulations, you have now saved a life!
