Nayara

Nayara is a very gentle girl with dazzling amber eyes. The name Nayara means "wish", which we think is very appropriate for this black beauty as she wishes to find a devoted furever family to love and nurture her.

Nayara is quite apprehensive of new people and does take a little bit of time to adjust to her environment and new humans. She is very confident within herself but can be nervous in new, noisy and high energy situations. Nay is a timid cat but has such a sweet soul that will happily accept a pat or sit next to you on the couch to watch tele once she has gained your trust. One way to win her over is with a tasty treat in hand. She loves BBQ chicken and Greenies.

Nayara enjoys to play, especially with anything attached to a string and climbing scratching posts. She also finds comfort in being up high, whether that be on a nice fluffy blanket on top of the lounge or curled up on the very top of the cat tower.

Nay is a sensitive little girl and best suited to a family with patience and understanding to take the time to bring her out of her shell. Please don't let this deter you from this gorgeous girl though, she has a beautiful, soft nature and with a little time she will come around. She is comfortable around other small animals and older children.

Note: This cat is currently being cared for in a foster home and when adopted, it will free up a spot to help another cat.
