About Biscotti
Meet Biscotti!
Biscotti is a 3 year old male Domestic Short Hair who is looking for his fur-ever home. He's a big boy, and he certainly knows it! But don't let that intimidate you - Biscotti is a smoochy, lovable cat who loves to meet new people. He has a mature demeanour, but still loves to play and explore.
Biscotti is also great with other pets - cats and dogs alike! He loves to snuggle up with his furry friends and show them just how friendly he can be. His gentle nature makes him the perfect addition to any family. So don't wait - come and meet Biscotti today!
Medical notes
Biscotti is a kitty who has been diagnosed with Feline lower urinary tract disease. (FLUTD) is not a specific disease, but rather is the term used to describe conditions that can affect the urinary bladder and/or urethra (the lower urinary tract) of cats.
Clinical signs for these disorders are all very similar so it is often difficult or impossible to determine the underlying cause without doing further investigations. Although many different diseases can affect the lower urinary tract, frustratingly, a number of cats develop a disease without any obvious underlying cause – so-called ‘feline idiopathic cystitis‘ or FIC. This form of disease appears to bear many similarities to a disease in humans called ‘interstitial cystitis’, but in both cats and humans, it can be difficult to manage.
Currently, Biscotti is happily managed on a prescription urinary diet which is both delicious and wonderful if you asked him! We recommend that Biscotti remain on a urinary diet indefinitely, to minimise risks or any potential progression of the condition.
