Hi there, fellow dog lovers! My name is Shanty and I'm a happy-go-lucky female pup who loves to play with dogs of all sizes. I may be a bit forward when meeting new dogs, but I promise I just want to make new friends!

I'm also interested in cats, but don't worry, I'm not aggressive towards them. As for sheep and chickens, I'm curious about them but I'll listen when you tell me ""No"" and redirect my interest.

I've met a 10-year-old child and we got along famously, so I'd be happy to have a new friend in your family too!

When my humans leave me alone, I do get a little panicked at first, but I'm getting better at handling it every day. And once I'm in my forever home and settled, I know I'll be just fine. Having another dog around would definitely help me feel more secure though.

I'm toilet trained, I love to travel in cars, and I'm always up for a good belly rub. So if you're looking for a fun-loving and loyal companion, look no further than me, Shanty!
TO ENQUIRE ABOUT THIS DOG, please complete an application. BARRC will then forward you an Expression of Interest Form which is required to be completed in full to be considered for this pet.

Our dogs are living in private foster homes and are available for you to meet. By submitting an Expression of Interest Form, you will receive a response within 14 days. Please check your 'Junk and Spam' folder.

Our adoption fee includes a general health check, flea and worming treatment, vaccination, microchipping and desexing. Our dogs are generally desexed at 6 months of age. If the dog you are applying for is too young for desexing, a voucher is provided for use at one of our approved vet providers. A 14 day adoption trial period is available when adopting an animal from BARRC.

Adoption fees are required to be paid in full before taking the animal onto trial.
