About Mia
Hey there! I'm Mia, a 3-year-old greyhound who's been living with some pretty awesome humans for a little while now. Let me tell you, I've had a blast here! There's always something new and exciting going on, and my foster humans are always up for a good laugh.
I think the best thing about my personality is that I just love being around people. I mean, what's the point of having a big, soft dog if you're not gonna snuggle with them all day long? I'm always down for a good cuddle, and I'm pretty sure my humans are too. Plus, I'm just like an excited little kid - I love to flop down and play no matter where I am. On the floor, on the couch, on top of you - it's all fair game!
So, what kind of home am I looking for? Well, I'm still a young pup, so I need a family who's willing to give me plenty of exercise and activity. I want to be part of the family, both inside and outside the house, and I need lots of love and attention. I'm still learning, but I pick things up pretty fast, so an experienced family would be a bonus!
When I do find my forever home, I hope my new family remembers me as a goofy, playful pup who just loves love. I'll always have that puppy expression that makes my humans laugh, and I'll always freeze when they call my name while I'm doing something I shouldn't be. And hey, sometimes a girl's gotta nibble on a plant or two, am I right?
So there you have it - that's me, Mia! I'm a loving, affectionate, and playful pup who's ready to find her forever home. Oh, and one more thing - if you adopt me, get ready for some serious snuggles!
Summary:
- NOT small dog or cat friendly
- Requires home where people are home more often than not (WFH or part time workers) OR with another greyhound for companionship
- Not suitable for homes with children under 12 years of age
Adoption details
STEP 1 – ENQUIRE & EOI FORM:
https://greytgreys.org/adoption-form/
If the greyhound you have applied for is unavailable or unsuitable, we can match you with a more suitable greyhound. We may have a hound in foster care who might be well suited to your family.
STEP 2 – LET'S CHAT:
We'll phone you to discuss suitability, clarify any points of your application and chat process and next steps.
STEP 3 – HOUSE CHECK & MEET + GREET:
We'll come to you! The meet + greet is conducted at the same time that a house check is carried out. The meet + greet is the day that your newly adopted greyhound will be able to stay on with you.
Our adoption fee is $350.00 and must be paid on on the day of the meet + greet, and prior to starting your 3 week trial. Support from our team is freely available. If you have any issues, we urge you to contact us to try and work through them, as all rescue greyhounds have some period of adjustment.
If after the 3 week trial, you feel that you need to return the greyhound, we will refund your adoption fee (less a $50 administration fee), upon return of the dog and all paperwork and other items that the dog was adopted with.
All of our hounds are adopted out with the following:
> Collar, lead & coat
> Certificate of sterilisation & vaccination
> Flea & worm treated
> Care information for your newly adopted greyhound
> Access to our private Facebook page for foster carers, volunteers and adopters of our hounds. A community with invaluable advice and support.
