About Gypsy
Looking for FOSTER or FOSTER with a view to ADOPTION
How dreamy is this beautiful girl Gypsy?
This sweet girl recently found herself in the pound and you can see her frightened, confused face.
But look at that grin when she was collected from the pound by wonderful volunteer Nikki!
Gypsy is currently in the care of our good friends at Hawkeview Kennels but this gorgeous lass deserves to be in a home, pronto
We don't think Gypsy has had much experience with a loving family, sadly. She's estimated to be about 4 years old and appears to have had litters of puppies in the past. She's afraid that people could hurt her, suggesting that this is something she's experienced before 😥
But, those who have met her so far can't stop talking about what a beautiful girl she truly is!
Gypsy needs what every dog needs - a kind home with people who want to treat her as a real part of the family.
She's going to need some time and understanding to help her get settled in somewhere and learn that she's going to get nothing but kindness.
We don't know any of the details of her past life but it's important to understand that she could be frightened unexpectedly or find certain situations extra scary.
That said, the staff who are currently caring for her have said she's a delight to have around 🥰
Sweet and so keen to learn about all the good things life has to offer
Gypsy seems fine with other dogs. Her best match would likely be with a similar sized male dog who is friendly and sociable.
She is not cat tested at this time.
We recommend a home with teens or adults as we don't know what her experiences with kids are.
She's a little more fearful of men so males in the home will need to be extra-prepared to work hard to gain her trust and love.
It will be worth it though!
Gypsy is likely an American bulldog/mastiff mix. She's approximately 4 years old.
Fostering is FREE!
You'll need to be able to transport Gypsy to one of our affiliated vet clinics for her health check, vaccination and desexing.
If you would like to add her to your family permanently, her adoption fee will be $480 including all vet work.
If you can offer Gypsy the second chance she so deserves, please message the page or email avonvalley@safe.org.au
