About Kimber
Meet the sweetest little girl around!
Kimber is just an adorable puppy with a beautiful personality to match. She is a happy and playful girl who is happy to investigate new things and enjoys playing with her toys. Kimber is an affectionate girl who will follow you around hoping for some extra pats or cuddles. She is happy to meet new people and lap up all the attention. Kimber has a more relaxed nature compared to her siblings and will sometimes just sit back and watch all the action around her. She will make a wonderful addition to her new home and is sure to quickly become a treasured member of the family.
The parents of this litter are apparently a cattle dog mixed breed on one side and a small mixed breed on the other. So new owners will need to be prepared for them to be larger small to medium sized dogs. Kimber has longer legs and should end up more on the medium size; however, they are mixed breed pups after all so we can’t guarantee that. In terms of energy levels, Kimber is currently indicating that she is going to be moderately active adult dog who will require daily exercise and some mental simulation throughout her life. Like any working breed mix puppy, she will need ongoing training to ensure that she learns good doggie manners, and this will also meet some of her mental stimulation needs. She is food motivated and will thrive with clear boundaries and instruction on how to engage with life.
While in foster care, Kimber has been living with her siblings and a number of adult dogs who have provided a great start to her socialisation. The foster carer has also been ensuring that the puppies are being exposed to a range of things such as hoses, vacuum cleaners, different noises and textures, etc. in a positive way. They have even been to Bunnings and watched traffic going past on the road from the safety of their crate. This positive socialisation and exposure training will need to be continued by Kimber’s new family who will need to consider how they can provide these experiences in a controlled manner. Socialisation with other dogs should be started with known friendly dogs in controlled environments rather than dog parks, particularly while the puppies build their confidence in the world.
We are looking for a committed and dog experienced home for Kimber who will include her as part of the family and enjoy taking her along on outings. She will need a home with another friendly adult dog who has already been trained up and able to tolerate typical puppy behaviours, and/or where her owners are around more often than not. Kimber must be allowed to be inside with the family and will need a warm comfy bed inside to sleep on at night. She is young enough to learn to live harmoniously with other types of pets and will be fine with dog savvy children with appropriate parental management when around them.
If you are interested in adopting this beautiful girl, then please complete a Dog Adoption Enquiry form on the Fetching Dogs website as the first step. You will need to add plenty of details to your application about your current family members and pets as well as your prior dog experience and the lifestyle you can offer Kimber. Only applicants that sound suitable on paper will be put through to the next stage for consideration.

Don't see a breed attached to one of our dogs? That's because we don't breed label dogs of unknown genetic history. We can't guess at breeds but that's okay, because we can tell you about the dog's individual personality, character, and behaviour.
