About Kenji (Located in Ringwood East)
Hi, my name is Kenji. I’m a sweet senior boy that is looking for a new family. My first family had to go into care just like me but I couldn’t go with them, but they loved me very much so found me a foster family to care for me ever since.
I was a bit chubby when I arrived and I’ve worked really hard to lose plenty of weight, but it will be important to help me keep up my diet and exercise/play time. I will always be a big solid lad though, but that makes me even better to hug which I love!
I am a very gentle, polite senior boy and while I like a chat I’m not very loud, my purrs are definitely louder than my meows. I will ask for pats from my foster mum by standing on my back legs and patting her with my paws or jumping up on the couch and sitting next to her to get chin scritches. I also love it when I get my fur brushed and I happily return the favour by doing my foster mum’s nails (she’s not as good at grooming her paws)!
I’ve never had cat family before but have learnt to be good friends with my kitten foster siblings, I hiss at them when they are too wild and annoy me but I am always very gentle with them, I like watching them play and it’s nice when we snooze together or clean each other’s fur. I would be fine sharing a house with another gentle kitty that isn’t too crazy.
I can get a little nervous about new things, normal noises in the house are ok once I settle in, but surprise loud noises can still startle me (the vacuum is a bit scary). I’m ok being on my own and don’t need a lot of space since I mostly like to snooze and watch the world go by outside, I’ve always been an indoor kitty so would be ok in any size house, unit or apartment.
