Hi! My name is River.
I was only 3 weeks old when I found myself lost and alone. I tried to find help, but I fell off a little footbridge into the water and I didn’t know how to swim! Luckily a nice human saw and saved me and took me to the vet to get checked over. The vet said I was very lucky and didn’t breathe in any water. They said I hadn’t suffered any injury or illness from the fall or being in the water. Hooray! They said I had a small umbilical hernia which is a little lump at my bellybutton that I was born with. The vet said it is pretty common in puppies and kittens and easy to fix so when I got bigger and stronger, I had a little operation to fix it. Since I was so little, I needed help learning to go from milk to solid food, but luckily my foster home could help. I grew up with 3 foster sisters “Jellybean”, “Freckle” and “Delilah” who are around the same age, so I had plenty of fun playing with them. My foster parents say I am a little angel. Sure I love to play and have fun, but I just love cuddles and pats so much! I purr all the time. I love to pat people back by rubbing my face and body on them. I am a real sweetheart and love to show my humans how much I love them back. I also enjoy cuddling and playing with the other kittens and the big cats in my foster home.
