About Tiggs - 7 Month Old Kelpie X Staffy (Trial)
Tiggs is a very happy 7 month old kelpie cross staffy boy who would love to share his life with you.
Are you looking for a very friendly wash and wear dog that can go anywhere and will cheerfully join in with the rough and tumble of every day life? Then look no further, Tiggs is your man.
Since coming in to care, Tiggs has begun to explore the world and he's decided that he loves it, and everything in it. He loves going for a walk, going to the park, playing with other dogs, playing with the cat, playing in the water, going out for coffee, sitting in the pub, driving in the car, sitting on the sofa and chewing his toys. You name it, Tiggs loves it. He was even wagging his tail after being desexed. He is an irrepressibly happy boy. He is also smart and responds well to training, with treat incentives. He had the "come" command nailed in a few days and will no doubt learn anything you care to teach him, with sufficient food encouragement.
As a very smart and energetic young man, Tiggs needs lots of exercise and stimulation. He could be a tradie's mate or when he grows up he would make a great running buddy. He adores water and swimming and as he is fast and agile he could also be suitable for dog sports. Tiggs wants to be involved in everything you do and he lets you know that he needs something with a bark. Due to this he would not suit being left alone for long periods of time so would love a family with someone home a lot and a large yard with high fences would be ideal. He will need to be kept busy with puzzle feeders, Kongs, snuffle mats and the like. Tiggs loves to find a shoe or a sock and trot proudly around the house with it, thinking he is very clever. He doesn't chew them up, he just wants you to collect things that belong to you. At the end of his high energy day, Tiggs loves to snuggle up to you for a cuddle.
Tiggs currently sleeps indoors and he'd prefer to keep it that way, he likes to be with his people. Tiggs LOVES to play and he is currently spending lots of time rumbling and playing with a 3 year old dog. He could be an only dog but he needs lots of things to do, so a furry friend with enough energy to keep up with him would be ideal. Tiggs is also getting along with the cat but chickens or other pocket pets might be a bit risky.
