About Buddha
Now we know what all the fuss is about!
The French Bulldog really is one-of-a-kind and former stud dog, BUDDHA, is a very fine example of the breed.
This charming little chap is bright, affectionate, adaptable and completely irresistible. One feels happy just being around him. He is a vastly amusing dog and would be an ideal companion for active retirees with visiting grandchildren. He wouldn't be averse to a road trip either.
Buddha loves kids and is mad about the car. Active and curious, he likes to be where the action is and is likely to follow his packleader around the house, just to make sure he doesn't miss out on any excitement.
He's affectionate and enjoys a cuddle, but is definitely not needy. He's a well-balanced dog and settled into his foster home as if he'd always lived there.
Although he loves a walk, Buddha doesn't need a lot of exercise outside the home. He's a naturally active dog and is happy fossicking in the garden or playing with a canine pal.
He's a dog of few words and rarely barks, other than three short woofs to let you know someone's at the door. He's a good little watchdog.
He loves other dogs but is untested with cats.
A typical bulldog, he prefers cooler weather and is a big fan of air-conditioning when it's hot. He's very definitely a house dog and is not designed for life in the backyard.
Buddha celebrated his third birthday on 13 March 2023 and weighs 12.7 kgs. His breeding days are behind him and he's now ready to settle into a new life as a thoroughly charming companion dog.
Preference will be given to homes where someone is around most of the time and there is another compatible dog for him to play with.
If you are interested in meeting him, please complete the online application form at https://southerndownsark.com.au/apply-to-adopt/ Kindly ensure that you include photos of your yard and fencing.
He lives in Warwick, Queensland and is available for interstate adoption to an approved applicant.
Medical notes
Buddha appears to be allergic to chicken. It gives him diarrhoea, but he happily eats everything else that's suitable for dogs, including vegetables, sardines, raw beef mince, hard-boiled eggs, rice and kibble.
