About Frankie
Meet Frankie, a 12-month-old male Koolie cross with a big personality and an equally big appetite for adventure. Frankie is a very smart dog who requires plenty of mental stimulation to keep his active mind engaged. He loves nothing more than socializing with new people and dogs, and enjoys watching the wildlife when out on walks.
Frankie is crate trained, and he sleeps soundly through the night. He is also toilet trained, and knows all of the basic commands and more, like sit, drop, stay, bed, crate, place, off, free, shake, and roll over! He has lovely dinner manners and prefers to work for his food. He loves playing tug and spending time with his humans. Although he is an independent dog, he will give special cuddles when he is tired.
Frankie would thrive in a home with a big backyard or hobby farm where he can stretch his legs and explore the plants. Frankie is well-behaved on a leash, plays beautifully with other dogs and is a quick learner with the potential for more advanced training like obedience, agility or flyball.
When his humans are not home, Frankie will sit quietly outside. While he has not been tested with kids, he is a well-behaved and obedient dog around adults. Frankie enjoys the company of other dogs although is quite happy on his own. Frankie's new owners should have experience with working breeds and understand his mental and physical needs.
If you are a good teacher and enjoy playing and learning new tricks, Frankie is the perfect companion for you. He is a unique dog with a beautiful coloring and personality, and would make a wonderful addition to any family. Apply to adopt Frankie today and bring this little treasure into your home.
